Queen Trahere OOC

Hello, Trahere! I'm Hicku, I am so psyched to be here, and I bring you fresh, if rather aged, meat in the form of Rupert Giles from Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Giles used to be a Watcher, which is to say it used to be his job to aid, train, and guide the Slayer. He was given charge of Buffy Summers, however, and she soon proceeded to turn his world and his worldview on its head and he wouldn't have had it any other way. Overall, Giles is a pretty softspoken and reserved sort of person. Around strangers, he's even pretty shy, but he'll be polite until you give him a great deal of reason to be otherwise. He has a soft spot for troubled or messed up kids, and can usually be bothered to at least attempt to give good advice if it looks like it's needed. Giles will usually try and protect the helpless - moreover, he can be scarily protective of his loved ones. Don't let the being over fifty fool you - guy can fight, and take a massive beating. He's also the bookworm of the Scoobies. If you need something found out, Giles will usually either know it or will be willing to stay up for three days trying to figure it out.

Officially, Giles' canon point is from near the end of Season Eight, after his death at the hands of Twilight/Angel. However, he's also coming in with about a year of additional gametime under his belt from luceti . So, depending on who you are, Giles might recognize your characters, although looking at the roster I only see a couple that he would. So, um. Just so you know. Don't mess with Helios. He is Giles' wife surrogate brother and Giles will mess you up if you mess with Helios.

Along with Giles, of course, I'll also be intro'ing his cat. Edna is a female ginger tabby cat, about eight months old. She is half badass spirit guardian warrior lynx, half...ordinary tabby cat. Her mother could turn into a giant lynx to protect her chosen human and communicate telepathically. Edna is bright enough to operate a doorknob, a bit more intuitive as to what the humans around her are feeling, and capable of picking up on danger other cats (or people) might miss, but not much else. Be nice to her (or else)! Give her fish! She's a cuddly little booger.

Um. I type too much. I technically have a plurk account at Illustrious_Illusionist, but I haven't been on it in months. My AIM is Lucied81292...but I'm not there very much either. But you're welcome to add me on either! God, I swear, I'm not as antisocial as I look. A PM to Giles' journal will be the quickest way to get in touch with me, and then I'll chat at you all day and night. I am happy to be here and looking forward to playing with all of you, Trahere! I love tags from people, and so does Giles...despite what he may protest otherwise. I can't wait to get in and start playing, and I hope I do well here!

I guess the only remaining issue is a matter of my own fail. I've never been in a game at the start like this before, so...should I intro Giles in his own post, or tag him in on the mingling post? At this point, I might just wait until tomorrow and intro him when the shaking event starts. I'll be counting any threads on the training post as AU, unless any of you would prefer otherwise. If so, just let me know.
